Access Statement

Location

The property is available any time after 2-00 pm on first day of occupation. Guests are kindly requested to vacate the property by 10-30am on the last day to allow adequate time for cleaning etc. Change-over day is Saturday for weekly stays – other arrangements can be made subject to availability or for short breaks.

Transport

Nearest bus stop is approximately 1 mile down the hill in Whitemill village. Bus services 279/280/281 provide links with both Carmarthen and Llandeilo Nearest Train Station is at Carmarthen. Numerous taxi companies operate locally.

Property Entrance

Cottage is approached through a gated entrance along a sweeping gravel driveway leading to a large gently sloping yard.

Parking

There is a large gravel parking area with ample room for up to four vehicles adjacent to the property.

Entrance Door

A small ramp to a level patio provides access to both entrance doors to the property. The main entrance is through an 820mm doorway which has a 110mm colour contrasted step. The second entrance is through a 1480mm double doorway up short ramped portion of patio.

Ground Floor

The ground floor consists of lounge, dining room, kitchen and shower room with toilet.

All have solid tiled or wooden floors.

Kitchen

Kitchen is accessed via a 965mm wide door and has a variety of units at floor and wall levels. Electric oven, electric hob, sink, fridge/freezer and microwave are not accessible from a wheelchair.

Dining Room

Dining room is accessed via a 605mm wide door. Wheelchair users can only access room via patio doors.

Lounge

Lounge is accessed via a 725mm wide door.

Shower Room

Shower room is accessed via a 685mm width door. Room consists of toilet, basin and shower. Shower accessed via 150mm step. Not accessible for a wheelchair.

First Floor

The first floor is on one level and consists of landing area, master bedroom, twin bedroom and family bathroom. First floor is accessed via 15 steps. All rooms carpeted with the exception of the family bathroom. First floor is not accessible with a wheelchair.

Twin Bedroom

Twin room has door width 810mm.

Master Bedroom

Master bedroom has door width 830mm.

Family Bathroom

Family bathroom through door of 800mm width. Room consists of freestanding bath, hand basin, toilet and shower. Shower area accessed via 2 steps (160mm and 80mm).Bathroom can also be accessed from master bedroom via a 735mm width door.

Outdoor Space

Outdoor space consist of approximately 2 acres of slightly sloping land laid primarily in grass with large gravelled yard and paved patio areas.

Mobile phone coverage is good on the whole depending on network (Orange and Vodafone known to have ample signal throughout most of the property and surrounding land).
